Steelers vs. Ravens Betting Line

Home: Pittsburgh Steelers
Away: Baltimore Ravens
When: Week 9. Sunday November 6, 2011 at 8:20pm ET
TV: NBC

Heading into week 9 of the 2011 – 2012 NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are on top of the AFC North at 6-2. The Baltimore Ravens are tied with the Bengals at 5-2. This is one of the best rivalries in the NFL, and an important game for both teams.

In week 1, the Ravens destroyed the Steelers 35-7. However, that was a different Steelers team, and they’ve turned things around with 4 straight wins, including a 25-17 win over the Patriots last week.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens Point Spread

On the Steelers vs. Ravens point spread, bettors can get Steelers +1 (Even) or Ravens -1 (-120) at Sports Interaction.

With a 7-1 road record in 2010/2011, I’m picking the Steelers to win outright. Both defenses should be strong, but I’m giving an edge to Roethlisberger’s offense. Being the first game of the 2011 – 2012 season makes this less predictable than later in the season, but Roethlisberger and the Steelers should be ready to go right after kick-off. It may take the Ravens offense a few games before they’re clicking.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Money Line

This content below this point was written a few days ago. We’re leaving the odds the way they were at that time so bettors can see how the lines have been moving. The odds chart above has the latest lines for the Steelers vs. Ravens week 1 game.

I’m picking the Pittsburgh Steelers to win outright, so I’ll be betting the money line. Right now we can get +125 on the Steelers, or -145 on the Ravens. If you like the Steelers straight-up, get your bet in now while +125 is available at Sports Interaction. I’m expecting to see +110 to +115 before game time, so now is the time.

For Ravens money line bets, I think we’ll see -130 to -135 as we get closer to week 1. If you’re thinking the same thing but don’t have a place to bet at, register at Sports Interaction and get your account funded now. Although we should wait to get this bet in, other games are offering more value now than they will later. So, it’s a good idea to start looking at odds right now and getting some early bets in – especially on heavy favorites.

Steelers vs. Ravens Total (Over/Under) Betting Odds

The Steelers and Ravens met twice in 2010-2011, with scores of 17-14 (31 total) and 13-10 (23 total). Right now, the over/under is 36.5 at Sports Interaction, looking like we should take the under. Being the first game of the season, it’s harder to predict the total, but these defenses are two of the best in the NFL.

I’m expecting another low scoring game, in the 17-10 to 21-13 range. I’m taking the under and hoping both defenses are ready to go in week 1.
