Best Games of Week 4, 2011

There might be some blowouts in week 4, but there are some good games scheduled as well. The Titans vs. Browns and Steelers vs. Texans should be the best early games of the day.

At 4:15 we’ve got the Patriots at Raiders which could be the most exciting game of the week. The Patriots lost to Buffalo in week 3, and the Raiders beat the Jets by 10 points in Oakland.

The Sunday night game should be a tough defensive battle between the Jets and Ravens. Both of these teams are in tough divisions, and both need the win.

The Monday Night Football game for week 4 could be a stinker. The 0-3 Colts are on the road to play the 2-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. At the time of this writing, the Buc’s are favored by 10 points. If the Colts can’t find some answers during the week, this could be over early in the 3rd quarter. The moral of this story, get your wings and dogs ready for Sunday, because Monday could be a disappointment.

NFL Week 4 Best Bets

  • New York Jets –4.5 vs. Buffalo Bills +4.5

I really think the Buffalo Bills are going to have a rough season this year, as they’re in rebuilding mode. They need a couple more drafts before they have enough young talent on the team to be competitive and although they seem to play good in divisional games, I can’t bet on them yet. The New York Jets looked good on the road last week against the Miami Dolphins and won 31-23 in a close game that had more scoring then I would have predicted. New York’s offense has been great the past couple weeks and against the Bills defense they should do even better. The Jets are already 2-0 in the division with wins over the New England Patriots and Dolphins and they’re going to be extremely pumped up this Sunday. It’s also a good time to play Buffalo because the weather shouldn’t be that bad yet.

  • Cincinnati Bengals –3 vs. Cleveland Browns +3

I really like the Bengals this year and although they looked flat against the Carolina Panthers this week, I expect them to be pumped up for this divisional match-up in week 4. The Bengals can’t afford to lose against the 0-3 Browns, as it’d hurt their chances to win the division against the 3-0 Steelers and 2-1 Baltimore Ravens. The Cleveland Browns played the Ravens extremely well this past week and even held a 17-14 lead in the 4th quarter, but they couldn’t hang on to the lead. Cincinnati has a better offense then the Ravens in my opinion and I think they should be able to put up at least 24+ points this week, which will be enough to cover the –3 spread.
