They’re 23-1 at home since the beginning of the 2009 – 2010 season, and the Ravens are much weaker on the road. The Patriots defense gets negative publicity for the wrong thing. Although they give up a ton of yards, they rank #15 for points allowed. Home field advantage is bigger during the playoffs, and I expect the Patriots to cover the spread.

Money Line Prediction: Patriots -320
Summary of Money Line Prediction: I think the New England Patriots win this home game about 80% of the time against the Ravens. This is no disrespect towards the Ravens, it’s more about the effectiveness of the Patriots at home, their offense, and their underrated defense. Stop listening to all the ‘experts’ who say the Patriots defense is #31 in the league, because yards don’t matter. What matters is points on the board, and The Pats only gave up 19.3 points per game during the regular season. I like the value we’re getting at -320 on the money line.

Over/Under Prediction: Over 50 (-110)
Summary of Over/Under Prediction: Because this Ravens/Patriots matchup is being played in New England, I think the Patriots put up 30+ points in this game (not considering points they could get off of turnovers). The Ravens should get their points too, and I think they’re good for 20-23 total. Something that could help this game go over is the Patriots +17 turnover ratio during the regular season. As the more effective offense, if they can cause a turnover or two, it’s more likely they will turn those turnovers into points than if the Ravens get the turnovers.
