Both of the Saturday, January 14 NFC & AFC divisional playoff games are great matchups. The first game of the day is a battle of offense vs. defense, with the New Orleans Saints vs San Francisco 49ers. This NFC Divisional Playoff game has a start time of 4:30pm ET, and will be televised on FOX.

In case you don’t have a tv, just got internet service this morning, don’t read the newspaper, listen to the radio, or have any friends, you’ve already heard plenty about the second divisional playoff game today. Of course it’s the AFC Divisional game between the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots, playing in New England at 8:00pm ET.

The information below could become outdated by game time. For the latest betting lines for both of these January 14 divisional playoff games, visit our 2012 NFL Playoff Betting Lines page.

Saturday NFC Divisional Playoff Game: Saints vs. 49ers Lines

Could we start of the divisional playoff weekend any better? This Saturday NFC Divisional playoff game has everyone arguing. Can the San Francisco 49ers defense contain Drew Brees and the powerful Saints offense? Can Alex Smith step up and become the QB the Niners have hoped he would since they drafted him #1 in 2005? Can the New Orleans Saints win a playoff game outside of the dome? For more in-depth analysis of this game and the odds, visit our Saints 49ers Betting Line post.

Point Spread

At the time this article is being written (Saturday @ 10:15 am ET), the Saints are road favorites, with the best point spread of -3.5 (-105) at BetOnline.com. BetOnline accepts US bettors, along with credit cards for making deposits.

For the 49ers, the best point spread is +3.5 (-105) at JustBet.cx. JustBet also accepts US bettors and credit card deposits. While I’m picking the Saints to win this, it would be hard to argue with anyone who wants the points and the home team.

Money Line

The Saints – 49ers money line has been tighter than a gnats ass so far, but we’ll see some movement as the game gets closer to starting. Right now, the best money line for the Saints is -195 at BetOnline. For the 49ers, the money line is +170 at BetOnline and JustBet.

Over/Under

Right now, the over/under for the Saturday, Jan. 14 NFC divisional game between the 49ers and Saints is 47 (-110) on both sides at BetOnline and JustBet.

We’re picking the over in this game, hoping the Saints can put up 30+ points against this tough 49ers defense. The Saints have a more well-rounded offense than people give them credit for. This is not just a passing team, as they have a strong running game as well. Although the 49ers rushing defense is the best in the league, the Saints are effective enough in the rushing game that the Niners will be forced to defend it, leaving the passing game potentially dangerous.

Saturday AFC Divisional Playoff Game: Broncos vs. Patriots Lines

This January 14th AFC Divisional Playoff game is the one everyone is talking about. The Patriots offense is going to force the Broncos defense to play their best on Saturday. Of course Tom Brady will get his points, but the Broncos might surprise us with their scoring ability as well. The Patriots passing defense is awful, and the Broncos running game could set them up for some productive passing plays like we saw against Pittsburgh. This is going to be interesting, and possibly very exciting to watch.

Point Spread

Playing at home against a team they beat handily earlier in the season, the New England Patriots come in as 13.5 point favorites on the spread. If you’d like to bet on the Patriots point spread, they’re currently -13.5 (-110) at BetOnline and JustBet.

As of Saturday morning, the Denver Broncos point spread is currently +13.5 (-110) at both sportsbooks as well. I like the Broncos chances to cover the spread in this game because of the weak New England defense. I’m taking the Broncos +13.5 (-110) at BetOnline.com.

Money Line

Many prognosticators and professional handicappers have given the Patriots an 80-85% chance to win this Jan. 14, AFC playoff game. If that’s correct, then the value is on the Patriots money line right now. The best Patriots money line is currently -720 at BetOnline.

If you prefer Denver, the best Broncos money line is also at BetOnline, currently at +560. If you’re a casual bettor looking to have some fun (not worried about value), a win on the Broncos money line would be a nice win.

Over/Under

The over/under for this AFC Divisional Playoff game is currently 50 (-110) on both sides at both of our recommended online sportsbooks. If you don’t have an online betting account set up but want to bet the over/under, we recommend BetOnline first. They post the earliest NFL lines, and usually the lowest vig on money line bets as well.

We’re picking the over on this AFC divisional game on Saturday. Brady is going to get his points, and the Broncos have a good chance to put up some points against the weak Patriots defense as well.
