For week 9 Monday Night Football, the Chicago Bears (4-3) are on the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles (3-4). The Bears have won their last two games, against the Buccaneers and Vikings. The Eagles have also won their last two games, and appear to be getting back on track. They destroyed the Cowboys 34-7 in week 8, and the Redskins 20-13 in week 6.

Below are the latest Bears vs. Eagles betting lines for this 2011 week 9, Monday Night Football matchup.

Bears vs. Eagles

Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles Analysis & Prediction

Playing at home and coming off or two improved games, it’s tough to go against the Eagles in this one. Michael Vick has performed much better in the last couple of games, especially last week against Dallas. Against the Cowboys, Vick completed 21 of 28 for 279 yards and 2 TD’s. If he can play like that against the Bears, they take this win by a touchdown or more.

The Chicago Bears are coming off of their bye week, and two consecutive wins. Their last game was in week 7, on the road against a tough Buccaneers team. They won that game 24-18 despite a poor night by QB Jay Cutler. The Buc’s Josh Freeman had a terrible game, throwing 4 picks.

The Bears will need a big night by LB Brian Urlacher, CB D.J. Moore, and the entire defense. To have a shot at this game, they’ll need to cause a couple of turnovers, and put pressure on Michael Vick. If Vick is allowed to do what he’s best at, the Eagles could do some serious damage to this below-average Bears defense. Despite their 3-4 record, the Eagles still lead the NFL with 449.3 ypg.

In the end, I see the Eagles winning this by at least a touchdown, and possibly a lot more. Vick should be able to move the ball with the pass and his feet, and I don’t think the Bears defense will have an answer.

Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles Point Spread

The Philadelphia Eagles are the favorites, at -7.5 (-105) at BetOnline (at the time of this writing). They were favored by 9 points before today (Friday night), and I’d love to get them at -7 instead of -7.5, but I’m not confident we’ll get it. If I had to bet right now, I’d still take the Eagles.

The best point spread for the Bears is +8 (-115) at the Bodog Sportsbook. I doubt we’ll see any better than this before game time, so if you like the Bears in this one, it might be smart to get your bets in now.

Bears vs. Eagles Money Line

At the time of this writing, the best Eagles money line is -360 at BetOnline.com. The Bodog money line has too much juice in it, so the best money line for the Bears is also at BetOnline. The Bears money line is currently +300 at BetOnline.

I don’t see value in either of these money lines, so I’ll stay away from it entirely. If I had to pick a side, I’d take the Eagles, but worry about those -360 odds.

Bears vs. Eagles Over/Under Betting Odds

The current Bears vs. Eagles over/under is 47 at BetOnline and Bodog. The best odds for the over are at Bodog, at 47 (-105), and the best odds for the under are at BetOnline, at 47 (-110).

I’m predicting a final score in the range of 27-17 (44 total) up to 31-20 (51 total). This puts the over/under almost smack-dab in the middle of my prediction, so it’s hard to pick a side. However, -105 on the over gives us a slight advantage, and I think this bet comes down to the effectiveness of Michael Vick. Against this Bears defense, I think there’s a better chance of winning the over, so I’m taking the over at 47 (-105) at Bodog.

Bet on Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles

I’m looking to bet on the Eagles, but will wait to see if I can get -7 instead of -7.5. If everything stays as it is, I’ll bet on the Eagles -7.5 (-105) at BetOnline.

I won’t bet on the Bears vs. Eagles money line because I don’t see enough value on either side. I definitely think the Eagles will win this game, but I don’t like risking -360 on it.

For the over/under, I’ll bet on the over at Bodog.com, at 47 (-105). This is a close one though, and I wouldn’t argue with anyone skipping this bet.
