Here are the latest Falcons vs. Bears betting lines for week 1 of the 2011 NFL season.

Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons come into the 2011 – 2012 NFL season at 14/1 to win the 2012 Super Bowl at Sports Interaction.

The Atlanta Falcons finished 2010 with an excellent 13-3 record, but got crushed by the Green Bay Packers 48-21 in the NFC Divisional playoff game. With a disappointing playoff run in 2010 – 2011, the Falcons should be hungry in 2011 – 2012.

QB Matt Ryan looks like a future champion to me, and is coming off the best season of his career. Ryan threw for 3,705 yards, with 28 touchdowns and only 9 INT’s. I expect more of the same, from a QB and team that wants to make a run at the Super Bowl while the team is in tact.

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears went 11-5 in the 2010 season. The Bears beat the Seattle Seahawks 35-24 in the NFC Divisional game, then lost to Green Bay in the Conference Championship.

I’ve never been on the Jay Cutler bandwagon, and that’s not changing in 2011. I see Cutler as one of those guys who can get his team to the playoffs, but lacking the intangibles it takes to close the deal. I expect another season like this for the Bears in 2011 – 2012.

Bears vs. Falcons 2011 Week 1 Game Prediction

At the time of this writing, the Falcons are 1 1/2 point favorites at Sportsinteraction.com At this point, we’re still waiting for preseason games to start, so it’s tough to say. My gut is saying that Atlanta will pull out a win by 3 points, meaning they would cover the spread. After a couple of preseason games have been played, we’ll update this post with more useful information and analysis.
